[Action] I feel like this title needs a balls joke

[What's a productive use of time? Time exploring the woods and training.

Today involves the latter. ...No, really. There's perfectly valid "training" logic behind Silver running around the entire village with Sneasel and an oversized ball gun, a birthday present from some stupid flirt that needs some shounen spirit.

And the entire village is no exaggeration. He'll be zipping through lawns, tree jumping, sliding across any remaining snow and ice as if he was raised with it, pulling off ridiculous ninja bullshit stunts, the works. He'll even head into the woods at some point.

And, of course, there are those balls that keep coming out of it. Of course... They're not just balls. They're Pokéballs, which might clue people in on why Silver's doing the equivalent of playing with a new toy. They're empty Pokéballs for a good portion of the day... And they're liable to hit anyone and anything. You know, if Silver hasn't already quickly turned a corner and collided with you or narrowly avoided a collision due to good reflexes.

Of course, later on, it will also have a bird in it, so if your life long dream is to have a two foot tall bird come out of a ball and accidentally collide with you or tackle you over, now's your chance.

This is totally valid and legitimate training, guys. Really.]

[Honestly, Gold didn't expect Silver to enjoy the present from Masaomi as much as he is. Considering Silver's tendency to travel light and move quickly, it seemed like it'd just be a burden. But he's actually using it...

...Eh, whatever Silver can do what he wants. No snot off Gold's nose. He'll just go about his day, and today's day... is snowboarding. Well, it's more like removing the wheels from his skateboard and traveling across the snow on it, but details.

And that's why, on this day of snowboarding... Gold totally doesn't see that bird coming.]

[Mithos had been sitting down to eat lunch, keeping a careful eye on his journal for any sign that this new feather season would bring something besides disappointment.

He almost swallows his fork when he hears the sound of glass shattering from down the hallway, followed by what can only be described as the sound of general chaos. He's booking it down the hall, as fast as his crutches will allow him, and pushing open the door to his own room--

[He does recognize the bird, as soon as it turns to peer at him. Putting one and one together, his eyes immediately ricochet to the broken window, expecting to see an unfortunately familiar face. Thanks for the cold drafty room, jerk.]
