[Silver is Silver is Silver. Upon finally waking up, he immediately tries to pull himself up... And it's a bad idea. His head spins. Despite the fact that he's awake, he's still very weak, and trying to act like he's not gave him a big reminder of that. He rethinks his actions and slowly pulls himself up into a seated position.
So where is he? What time is it? How long has he been out? ...Where's his journal? That's the most important thing right now, he has to-
There it is.]
[His handwriting is downright awful, but it's legible, especially since he's slow enough about it. And he only has one thing to say.]
Is it over yet? None of you died, right?
[The you is directed at the people he knows, but he is far too drained to make that distinction or ask much else. ...Might be a good idea to let him know just how late to the party he is.
Or visit him. There's always the visiting option, although that option might not be pretty; as long as it's been, it still doesn't change the fact that he more or less looks like he's about to die, like he won't open his eyes if he closes them again. He barely even has the energy to hold himself upright.
But company would be nice, especially since he's... Not exactly going anywhere. He has his Pokémon, of course, they're all but hovering over him because he's okay and he's finally awake (jeez guys, calm down,) and he even has Chandelure in his arms (because he needs to be reassured that everything's alright and that he Did Good,) but it would be reassuring to see that everyone's, you know. Okay.
And absolutely not the other way around, because he's totally just tired.
Yep.]

Like candy apples. Both Murkrow and Sneasel continue to be enthused... Until she asks what happened. Then they go quiet and switch to more concerned looks. Chandelure in particular looks pretty unsettled as he shifts around in Silver's lap, but Silver pats him reassuringly.
He takes a long and deliberate pause to consider his words carefully. To think of just how much he should describe.]
I had to do something kinda dumb to keep people from getting hurt. [In the end, being vague wins the day.] It drained a lotta energy out of me, so I fell asleep for a while.
[But it was better than death or infection, and that's what matters.]
action;
However curious she is about specifics, it's...probably best to move on. ]
...Soooooo, you trained Sifu, right? [ blatant topic change to...the first thing to come to mind. ]
action;
Yeah, I did. ...Still do sometimes. [He'll gladly take this topic change. It doesn't tread into as uncomfortable territory.]

1/2
I had to make him learn strategy, too. There's a lot to know about Pokémon.
action;
That's the biggest part of having a Pokémon, no matter what the two of you do.
action;
But when Silver says the most important thing, Ikki relaxes a little, grinning. She may not be in sync with Soren during battles, when her being seven and very much less experienced than him and the third in a successive series of trainers gets in the way of Soren listening at times, but she's never had any trouble trusting or caring for him.
But then, she'd sort of started out considering him one of her best friends rather than a pokemon. Which was...typical. ]
I met Soren my very first day here, you know! [ Soren gets an apple slice while Ikki talks, smiling. ] Soren and Chien! I don't think Chien meant to come and see me, except Soren saw me bending air, and so he came and showed me he was an airbender, too!
...I know that's not what to call it. Flying pokemon, right? But, that's how I always thought of him. And whenever I met up with Chien, Soren would show me what he'd learned, and I'd show him what I learned. It was always really fun, spending time with both of them.
[ And that's always been the easy part. ] I think we're getting better at the simulations Sifu has us run, though, right, Soren? Although I guess we need to work on herding things. [ ...and other things...well, no helping that. ] And Soren gets to go to airbending practice with me, too.
action;
He's not sure if it was better or worse for him to go home (on one hand, being in his world, on the other hand, being with his family...) but it's good that Ikki, Soren, and Chien all spent time together beforehand.
And he knows of airbending. He knows of it from Aang. Not too much about it, but, well... It might make it easier for her to have a flying-type. He's still not very happy about the fact that Masaomi thought it was a good idea to start training a seven year old, but what can he do? There's nothing he can do but trust and try to support everyone involved.]
That's the way it should be. You two are gonna be partners now. [...] If there's anything you wanna know or anything I can do to help, I'm here, alright?
[Because he can help. It's the least he can do. He's not about to put her through anything crazy, but the point is still there.]
action;
But there is one of those ridiculous childish questions she'd asked Masaomi that he hadn't been able to answer, and now is as good a time as ever. So, if she has to pick one question... ]
If a pokemon holds a pokeball with a pokemon in it and goes into a pokeball, what happens?
[ ...obviously she's picking the one that completely doesn't match the mood of that offer.
But inquiring minds need to know! ]

action;
[ Why can't she, for example? ]
action;
It's the same reason why a Pokédex won't show you anything if you point it at an animal.

When'd you start training pokemon, Silver?
action;
...Trainers usually start at around ten, give or take. I started a little early. [It's... Not the truth, but it's not a complete lie.]
action;
[ She's. Never really talked about this in-depth with anyone. ]
action;
Yep. Trainer school. You graduate around that age. They teach you everything you need to be a Pokémon trainer and survive. [Among... Other things that Silver doesn't really know, uh-]
Most people get their first Pokémon at a really young age, though. Gold grew up with Pokémon, but I'm pretty sure he got his own- his Ambipom- when he was younger than you. My big sis had her Wigglytuff by the time she was five.
Sneasel over here's been with me since I was a baby. I've never been without him.
action;
So when you were little, you just played with him? [ she does a lot of that. Soren is an excellent playmate. Goofing off is basically their main activity when they're not with Masaomi or her grandpa during airbending lessons. ]
action;
You play with Soren, right?
[Because she should. By all means, she should. That's a childhood.]
action;
Of course! We went through the maze TONS of times when it was here, although that's not normally what we do - but it was special!! So we went through it a lot. And Soren teased some of the ghosts which I said might not be a great idea so we got chased for a little - do you remember that? But they weren't as scary as Haunters so that was okay. [ that aside was to Soren, who does remember, but those ghosts started it okay ] We play pretend a lot, or do air tag - that's where we're both flying and have to catch each other, I borrow grandpa's glider for that - and...lots of things.
[ lots and lots of things. She makes up games at the drop of a hat. ]
action;
...You've been having fun and taking good care of her, right Soren?]
action;
He's such a good partner, he makes sure she doesn't fall over or trip over things and everything. It's tough work! ]
