[Silver is Silver is Silver. Upon finally waking up, he immediately tries to pull himself up... And it's a bad idea. His head spins. Despite the fact that he's awake, he's still very weak, and trying to act like he's not gave him a big reminder of that. He rethinks his actions and slowly pulls himself up into a seated position.
So where is he? What time is it? How long has he been out? ...Where's his journal? That's the most important thing right now, he has to-
There it is.]
[His handwriting is downright awful, but it's legible, especially since he's slow enough about it. And he only has one thing to say.]
Is it over yet? None of you died, right?
[The you is directed at the people he knows, but he is far too drained to make that distinction or ask much else. ...Might be a good idea to let him know just how late to the party he is.
Or visit him. There's always the visiting option, although that option might not be pretty; as long as it's been, it still doesn't change the fact that he more or less looks like he's about to die, like he won't open his eyes if he closes them again. He barely even has the energy to hold himself upright.
But company would be nice, especially since he's... Not exactly going anywhere. He has his Pokémon, of course, they're all but hovering over him because he's okay and he's finally awake (jeez guys, calm down,) and he even has Chandelure in his arms (because he needs to be reassured that everything's alright and that he Did Good,) but it would be reassuring to see that everyone's, you know. Okay.
And absolutely not the other way around, because he's totally just tired.
Yep.]

Because now Silver is pulling Gold into a hug. He can only barely do so given how strong he is right now- and it's Silver- but he's doing it anyway.]
[Action]
that--
he--
...After a moment's hesitation from the sheer shock of it all, Gold returns the hug to Silver, taking care in how much strength he uses, considering Silver's current state.
...That bad, huh?
[Action]
And he tries his best to keep his composure]
It was an infection, Gold. It barely took anything to get it. People went rabid. Insane. Vicious, and ten times stronger than they normally were. [That could have been one of his Pokémon.]
And it kept spreading. It was night out the entire time. There was a chance that we could get ambushed or charged at, and it was so much harder to make anything out wouldn't happen than it should've been.
Everyone scrambled to grab at food and took off. It turned into less of a draft and more into a fight for survival.
And then we ran into Moro.
[Action]
He chooses to focus on that last line.]
Lemme guess. She was infected.

It made people sick. It made people horribly ill. And then it made people raw and violent. You could blow someone's arm off and they would treat it like nothing.
And it tore and destroyed Moro- it caused her so much pain and anguish that in her anger and pain she lost herself. She turned into a demon.
[And from here, for once, his voice begins to sound nervous. Fractured. As he progresses in his explanation, he continues to sound less and less composed than his usual self.]
Her skin boiled over. Her blood started bursting out of her skin and turning into these nasty, rotting, boiling tentacles that destroyed everything they touched. She was roaring and screaming in pain and rage while it tore her apart from the inside out. It looked awful. It sounded awful. It smelledawful.
[And he's shaking a little. It snaps back into focus, back into memory, as if it's happening yet again.]
It took a bunch of people to take her down. Eight or nine. Maybe more. I don't remember. Parts of her were blown off and falling out of her and she still couldn't stop rampaging.
And when she was finally killed, her head twisted off, and-

[Action]
Enough. J-just... Just don't talk about it anymore. [That's like something straight out of a horror movie, and Gold's really glad his stomach's empty for a change.]
[Action]
But it takes a moment for him to let go of Gold and try to pull himself back together.
...He ends up letting Chandelure back in his arms. It's better for both of them right now.]
Sorry.
[Action]
[Action]
...What's Gold looking at? Is he- oh. ...Oh.]
...Don't look at Chandelure like that. [Because he's been, you know, trying to reassure Chandelure that it's okay. Because it is. It's gonna be okay.
He even feels a little better after letting Gold hear all of that. Not quite better, but...]
[Action]
[Action]
So I put my trust in Chandelure. ...Besides, you would've done the same thing.

I'm allowed to be worried about my little bro's well-being.

I'll be okay.

...He idly considers touching a piece of candy, but... Not sure if want. At least not yet.]

[You totally want a piece of candy.]
